Forgot Your PAN Number! Find It Quickly Online

The basic idea about PAN card that everyone got is it is only required for filing income tax online payment. Well a PAN card demands more identity than this traditional idea as it has much more importance than that. Now Indian Government Announced PAN Card is Mandatory for all process. The PAN or Permanent Account Number is not only necessary for paying income tax, but also a type of identity card that can be used for person identification. Mobile services or broadband services accept this card as a personal identification card. While making income tax online payment, one need to produce this number to identify their income tax account. According to, Indian Income Tax Act 1961, this card will be issued by the Income Tax Department of India and it will have a 10-digit unique alphanumeric number.


To find your PAN card, you need to start with accessing the official website of Income Tax Of India. Once you open the page, a registration form will appear which you will need to fill in with your personal details such as Name, DOB, Father’s name. Once fill in all the required field, submit the form and just wait a few seconds. If the submitted details match any record, it will show your PAN number on screen. This number is needed while making income tax online payment to identify your account.

Now, if you have lost your card, then you can apply for a new copy of the card through online system. The new card will have the same number as your old one’s and this process will take a few minutes. The procedure to apply for another copy will be same as mentioned above for “find your PAN” process. Also, if you can not remember your PAN number, then also go to the official website and enter your details to see it online.
